The streets are named after aviators, which fits a suburb bordered by Kingsford Smith Drive and Southern Cross Drive, with Belconnen Way and Chewings Street completing the square. It is only 1.4 square kilometres, about a fifteen-minute walk to the Hawker Shopping Centre and twenty to the Belconnen Town Centre, with the Southern Cross Early Childhood School and the neighbourhood oval in the middle.

Most are couch or kikuyu on the heavier ground of the Belconnen plains, thatchy and compacted in places, thinning where the trees planted in the late 1960s now cast deep shade, and dotted with fescue where someone wanted green through winter. The blocks are the standard family size of the era, and the gardens on them are properly grown.
