A year on the ridge: how the seasons treat The Ridgeway lawns

Height and exposure decide the year on The Ridgeway. Frost sits on the block from about May until September, the warm-season grass goes brown and stops, and any fescue keeps growing slowly and wants the odd winter cut on a dry afternoon. The September and October rain sets off a flush that a big block turns into a lot of grass very quickly.
