Lawn care where Tuggeranong does its shopping
Fox Mowing ACT mows and gardens right across Greenway, the suburb that holds the Tuggeranong Town Centre, Lake Tuggeranong and the small residential areas on the lake’s north-western and north-eastern shores. Named after the architect Francis Greenway, with its streets named after architects, the suburb was gazetted in October 1986 and lies between Athllon Drive and Drakeford Drive, with the Urambi Hills Nature Reserve and the Murrumbidgee River behind it. The postcode is 2900, and the neighbours are Kambah, Wanniassa, Oxley, Monash and Bonython.
Greenway is not a suburb of quarter-acre blocks. At the 2021 census 63.2 per cent of its dwellings were flats or apartments and another 34 per cent were townhouses, terraces or semi-detached homes, and the population had more than doubled since 2016 to 4,129. So the lawns our operators cut here are mostly shared: strata lawns between apartment buildings, nature strips outside shopfronts, the grounds around townhouse complexes and the odd freestanding yard near the lake. The work is about presentation, regular schedules and dealing with a body corporate or a centre manager as easily as with a homeowner.
